Founder and CEO, Najjuwah Walden, is a DONA trained doula and MSW trained at Washington University in St. Louis, where she is currently completing her PhD in the nutritional epidemiology of postpartum depression.

With nearly a decade of experience as an epidemiologist and birth worker, Najjuwah has spent most of her career counseling pregnant and postpartum people on complementary and alternative therapies to preventing and self-managing infections and illnesses. Her practices are informed by clinical research and advised by clinical herbalists and lactation consultants. In 2022, she created Balancetopia, an Arch Grants company currently testing the efficacy and effectiveness of its formulations.
